For five years now, hot dogs and hand rails has started off the contest season... This year, 110 tons of snow was used for this contest. For $1,000, Scotty Vine took home the best trick award with a double back flip. Check out www.snowboard-revolution.com for some sick pics of the contest and the crowds it brought in. For the after party, Mack Dawg Productions showed both of their new movies and the local Bear movie also played.
Another contest that is always a guaranteed good time, is Volcom's Peanut Butter & Rail Jam. The PBRJ is Volcom's amateur snowboard contest with four age divisions. And you have 20 minutes to hit as many rails as many times as you want. The first location to kick off the PBRJ is Snow park in New Zealand as their season winds down. Be sure to check out Volcom's website for info on the contest and the upcoming locations in the US of A! www.volcom.com/pbrj.
